All of my work begins as a vision in my mind's eye. From there it becomes a digital image. As I evaluate the image, I begin to see a direction that I would like to follow. Sometimes it's the subject or the colors, or the light. As the piece continues I begin to feel a part of this creation. It is something never seen in exactly this way before. My emotions build as the image progresses and takes on a life of its own. The real enjoyment comes after I finish the piece and move on to something else, only to return days later and find the message even more meaningful. I enjoy history and I am amazed when I look at other artist's work and try to find what attracts me to it.
